Eliminate Indoor Odors – Lampe Berger

Okay, so I’m gonna let you in on a big secret here. Cigar smoke eventually does stink inside a house. There’s nothing better than the smell of a cigar as you’re smoking, the tendrils of smoke wafting through the air…pure bliss. However, after sitting for a couple days, it basically just smells like old smoke. I know, big secret. Okay, so here’s a bigger secret: there’s a way to eliminate this odor without just covering it up. It’s called Lampe Berger.

I was turned onto these many years ago by a friend and cigar store owner, who swore by them. What are they? Well, basically it’s a decorative device that burns purfume oils. Now, hold your reservations. They’re not just girly; though your girlfriends and wives will love them, they come in many different styles that can even fit a bachelor’s decor. The deal with these things is that they don’t just cover up odor while they’re burning, but they actually eliminate it permanently. How does it work? Well, here’s an excerpt from their website:

Developed by Monsieur Maurice Berger, a pharmaceutical chemist, each lamp features, under its’ stylish cap, a patented catalytic burner that destroys odors and helps purify the air, before the fragrance is dispersed.

I’m telling you these things work! And with scents like Southern Vanilla, Orange Cinnamon, and Creme Brulee you’ll find something that you and your lady friends will love. They can be a little pricey ranging from $50 and up and the oils can be too, but let me tell you that it beats getting grief about the smell of your abode.

I’d heard tell of these but am always skeptical of something so basic. Perhaps I’m over thinking everything. :) Here’s the question: Which one(s) do you have? And how much space do they take the odor from? One room? Several?

  2. I have a basic Swirl which on the site retails for $70, but I picked it up for about $50 on sale. It’s the only one I have. I’m not sure how much space they take the odor from, but I when I did smoke in my old apartment, it took care of that pretty well. I don’t smoke inside my house now.
