Let’s Talk Flavors

Alright, so let’s talk about flavored cigars. There’s a market for them as evidenced by the popular Java cigars and the CAO flavored lines, but where do they fit in the premium cigar market? I’ll admit that at the beginning of my smoking career, I smoked Acid Ones quite regularly. Not exactly flavored, but they are…what’s it called…infused. Oh, and they’re sugar tipped, which made the experience that much sweeter. Okay, bad pun, but they were a gateway into better cigars for me. I tried the Cojimar series a couple of times, but unless I was drinking some Jack Daniels with them, I could never stomach the flavor and kept having to spit. I personally think flavored cigars have their place, but I don’t smoke them anymore. I even tried an Acid One a couple years ago and couldn’t believe that I actually like it before. Tastes change, and mine did, but if it weren’t for that cigar, I probably would have never moved up to other, better cigars.
What’s your take on them? Do you think they have a place in a true cigar smoker’s repertoire? Do you think they’re only for women? Should women not even smoke them? Let’s hear it. Note: just because you like the CAO Flavorettes does not mean you like flavored cigars. Make the distinction, you dogs!
Oh, and vote in the poll too. You guys wanted interactivity, you got it.
