Casa Torano Maduro Due to Release Soon

According to the new Torano newsletter, the highly acclaimed, and much anticipated Casa Torano Maduro is due to release soon.  Now, according to the newsletter, it’s supposed to be coming out this month, but with the end of the month only a couple days away, we’ll see…  However, it’s release is imminent.

I’m really looking forward to this cigar, because I love the original Casa Torano and I really love maduro cigars.  Put the two together and, for me, we’re most likely talking heaven.  Torano has also decided to go a new direction with one of their sizes…well, really back to an old direction, but in today’s “the bigger ring gauge the better” market trend, this is pretty exciting for the smaller ring gauge lovers.  In addition to the standard Robusto, Toro, and Torpedo sizes, Torano is also producing these in a Lancero which is 7×38.  I’m really looking forward to trying this, as I’m also a fan of the thinner ring gauge.  These are looking to be around $4.50 – $5.50 MSRP.

Here are the official sizes:

Robusto:   4 3/4×52
Toro:         6 1/4×50
Torpedo:  6 1/2×54
Lancero:   7×38

With the recent popularity of Rocky Patel and Don Pepin, the Torano name hasn’t been spoken as much lately, but this might bring them back into the forefront of discussion, and will most definitely bring them some new fans.  Their cigars are still top notch when it comes to quality and flavor, and are extremely competitive when it comes to pricing.

Is anyone else looking forward to this release?

  1. I picked up a few of these at the RTDA. I need to get around to reviewing them. I’ve got quite a few things I need to get around to, but just don’t have enough hours in the day.
