Quick Time – Ashton San Cristobal Supremo

The Ashton San Cristobal Supremo is a toro size cigar coming in at 6×50.  The latest release from Ashton, even if it doesn’t bear the name on the beautifully guilded band, is blended and made by Don Pepin.  Looking at the cigar, the presentation is wonderful.  I might argue that this is the most beautiful cigar band out there.  The detail is amazing.

Well made, this cigar should appeal to all cigar smokers, at least by the way it looks.  This full bodied, Nicaraguan puro comes out swinging, but then settles into a smooth mix of wood, coffee, and pepper.  The stick I smoked this morning gave me some burn problems that I attribute to an uneven roll since one side seemed more solid than the other, and the burn confirmed this.  However, the flavors remained constant, the smoke plentiful and made for an extremely enjoyable hour of smoking pleasure.

If you’re a full body cigar fan, or a Pepin fan, this cigar won’t disappoint.
